Must-have capo
I had played 6-string for many years before I got my first 12-string, and clamp-style capos always served me well in that time. When I got my first 12-string, I got a clamp-style Kyser 12-string capo to go with it.
If you look at a 12-string, you can see what the problem with flat (or gently-arched) capo is going to be... the first, third, fifth, and seventh strings are not going to get the same pressure as their larger mates. The fifth and seventh strings in particular are a real beast, and it often took me five or ten tries to get the capo in that magic position that would let me play without audible fret buzz or string muting.
I found that putting the capo on backwards was helpful, but it's extremely difficult to play that way. I would often settle for a little muting or a little fret buzz so that I could stop sitting there diddling with the capo and start playing.

Paige P12E- 12-String Guitar Capo
I'm primarialy a 12 string player and sometimes it is almost almost impossible to capo on the first fret. This capo is the best one that I have tried to do this job. I highly reccomend this capo.......
Don't Fit!
This is not for all 12 string guitars I have an early 60's American made Epiphone and this dose not fit.
