Been using Bootzillas for 7 years or more
I love these strings and when I've tested out other strings from DR or other brands I've always found myself longing for my Bootzillas.
These strings are exceptionally bright before you break them in. They still have a great zing once they're broken in, but at first you may find it overpowering. Breaking them in doesn't take long.
If you play slap, you want to try these. I play mostly finger style, but slap and use a pick occasionally. I'm happy with them for all styles.
A set normally lasts me over 6 months. I normally gig 1-6 times a month, but there have been some stretches where I was playing a set 4-8 times a month. They've always held up well for me...and I've been known to really rip at my strings during high energy performances.
