I heard this was an awesome bass but due the brand I had my doubts. As I didnt have enought money to buy something like an Ibanez or such, so based on feedback of my musician friends I got this One. Comes with the manual, the battery and allen keys to adjust both bridge and neck, no calibration was needed at all, once I put the battery and connected this thing to my amp I couldnt believe the quality and power of the sound I was hearing. The bass is kind of heavy, but its VERY confortable to play along the whole body, the factory calibration was flawless, it was very easy to move your hand trought the neck, maybe this sounds stupid, but with my 5 strings Peavey Milestone(my first bass T.T) I couldnt do the bass scales as fast as I do them with this one, the pick ups are huge, but the sound they give has high output and good low-mid range with sharp highs, man I wont hesitate to recomend you this bass if you're looking for a kickass instrument for less than $1000, waiting to save some...

Great Bass!
I bought this bass a few weeks ago. It is a very powerful bass. My first bass was a metallic red Yamaha RBX374. Yamaha never fails to please. Unlike the RBX374, the RBX375 doesn't have the lacquer so your hand won't catch if it starts to sweat. I've found that even if a bass has that annoying finish on it, and you don't plan on selling it later on, you can take steel wool and sand it down to get that nice natural finish flow. And it looks WAY better. Now back to the bass. It has a superior tone to most basses in this price range. Of course it's no Music Man but it gets the job done. (P.S. I own a MM StingRay so I would know.) Like the other reviewer stated, the factory calibration is flawless. The only other thing you need is that Comfort Strapp or whatever it's titled and some strap locks and you will be set. Whether this will be your first bass or just another, buy it because you can't go wrong with Yamaha. And seriously..the quality of Yamaha basses leads me to question their...
