one VERY deep bass!
The Schecter Omen Extreme 5 is one VERY bad mother, it gets down, it gets rough, it handles SO NICELY. its my fourth bass, after a takamine jasmine acoustic electric, a peavey, and a fender MIM jazz bass from 2000. this one is the best of the batch, by far! the active electronics do it justice, the bass bangs out and the mids pop. the highs do a good job of their thing, with great presence. its a quiet bass. its a LOT less weight than any of my other bass. I play it thru my bassman 60 from about 1990, and sometimes thru a ampeg B5R head into my recording system. in the next few days I will put up a review and road test on youtube of this very very incredible machine.
I bought it on sale at Best Buy, I got a virgin in the box, it needed some setup and away we went.
I'm happy I got this intrument....
after this maybe I get a fender jag bass, I was demoing one and it sounded good, BUT not as good as this, and it was $100 more.

Plays well enough
Bought this bass used for dirt cheap. feels great and its definitely got some good playability... looks awesome too. the major drawback for me is its lack of mid cut/boost. it only has a 2 band EQ and although i play metal, i like to boost my mids slightly. gonna try to eventually swap out my onboard preamp with something that allows for mid cut/boost.
