Bright and warm
I bought a second-hand acoustic bass from a friend. He had regular electric bass strings on the the guitar. While not necessarily a bad thing, I wanted to have the full acoustic experience and these Martin strings fit the bill perfectly. The sound difference was immediate (granted, the other strings were a bit old). The bass was brighter and had a good deal more warmth. Overall, I am thrilled with the acoustic sound and these strings did not disappoint.
