flatwound is the way to go!
These are some of the best strings I have ever played with,flatwounds on my bass.My bass came with roundwounds on it,as most do,and after learning about flatwounds,I decided to try a set.Best move I ever made for my bass.The sound is much deeper and better than roundwounds.I may try other brands on occasions but i believe I will always stick with flatwound strings for both of my bass guitars.

Nice sound, easy on fingers
Fitted these strings on my fretted acoustic bass guitar. They sound very nice, with just the right amount of bright, with no penalty to the bottom. Would buy again.
Too short for my 34" bass
These seem like good strings, but they are too short for my 34" bass. The product description says these will fit scale lengths of up to 34" but these strings are a little under 2" too short. Go with the long scale strings if you have a 34" bass.
