Presenting the Cordoba GK Studio
The Cordoba GK Studio Gipsy Kings signature model is a comfortable and lightweight guitar for any player. The GK Studio features a soft cutaway and a body that is slightly deeper than a thin-body flamenco model, yet slimmer than a traditional classical guitar. Built with premium tone woods (a solid European spruce top and Spanish cypress back and sides) and lightweight Spanish-style fan bracing, the overall tone is bright and snappy. The GK Studio features an action that is low across the fretboard and the mahogany neck is slightly narrowed for smooth and easy playability. A Fishman Presys Blend with 4 Band EQ and digital tuner pickup system gives the GK Studio a clear and natural tone when amplified. Comes with a Cordoba deluxe gig bag.

Excellent Guitar In This Price Range
Sweet! Consider that I first bought the Rodriguez C3 Flamenco guitar. It's old school and beautiful, but the action is high and it sounds like a classical guitar, sweet and warm. Not cool if you want flamenco sound. I took it back and got the Córdoba GK Studio. Yeah baby. This model has an excellent brassy flamenco sound with good volume unplugged- big bass, sharp mids and highs. The intonation is spot on. The action is set low at the factory, making it very playable out of the box. Flamenco freaks can pick it up right away and play Leyenda. O, and by the way, this guitar has a truss rod. Truss rods are a staple in steel string guitars for adjusting the neck, but conventional wisdom that nylon strings don't exert as much tension on the neck as steel strings do means that luthiers commonly don't include a truss rod in nylon string guitars.
The Fishman electronics are commendable. There's nothing amazing, but they sound clean and accurately equalized throughout the...

Superior
Definetly one of the best guitars out there.
I went to the guitar center in my area looking for a new guitar and this was the best in the place, regardless of price. It was superior to to other guitars costing 900, 2000, or even $3150. The first thing i thought when i picked it up was that it was extremely light, but when i started playing it i realized that the light body caused it to have excellent, excellent sound. I also love the color and the finish. The thing i like most about this guitar is the playability. This model is so incredibly easy to play. You only need minimal pressure to play notes, which means that new guitarists wont be stuck with bar chords that sound terrible, and more experienced guitarists who need to play very difficult pieces and move their hands frantically over the fretboard never end up with a foul note.
I can play anything on this guitar. I play Bach and Spanish guitar on it, and the rich basses make it really special. And when i...
Cordoba GK Studio
Not an elite guitarist and my opinion may not carry much weight, but I bought this guitar and love how it sounds. Every string on every fret sounds crisp and the action is great (especially for new players)
Another week has gone by (now 19 Aug 09) and I still love this guitar. The slightly narrow neck makes it easy for my small hands to play and I really love the spruce top's light color (is it okay to like the color?)
I am surprised not many reviews have popped up yet- it is a 2009 release so I guess that's a fair excuse. Buy it with a humicase and your warranty extends to lifetime with Cordoba (see cordoba for details).
