A good option for my 1970ies Mustang Bass
After considering various options for my 1976 Fender Mustang Bass, I decided to give this set a try. I installed it a few days ago and am very satisfied with what I have. First of all, the medium scale (32'') length is perfect for a vintage through-the-body Mustang Bass (short-scale is too short!). The sound has a specific flat-wound "matt" aspect to it, but less so than a fully flat-wound set of string. There is enough brilliance and warmth to keep me happy, and the flatness of the string outside wound is a relief for my (usually) guitarist fingers. A nice option.
