I really like the strings. Plus, I have a friend that plays in bands a lot and he aimed me at them. He loves them and says they're better than any other coated/treated string.
I'm mostly just writing this review to give warning about the Amazon listing. Currently, the product photo shows .012 to .054 and the main title at the top of the webpage says "Light Gauge." If you scroll down though, the "Item model number" is different. It says ".011 to .052 Custom Light/7411." When you order that is the weight you'll receive. The package I got was model 7411 and is labled "extra light." The third party dealer said he had another package that was also 7411 and they were "custom light." Anyway, these are NOT lights. They're extra lights. They are not what is pictured or listed in the main title.

Beats Elixir in the Sound Department
I was a big Elixir Nanowebs fan. I gave Cleartones a whirl and have to tell you that they are the best sounding coated string I've tried. I went back to Elixir to save a dollar or two but low and behold, there was a perceptible step down in sound. I'm back to Clear Tones now. I don't recall any significant buzz--certainly no more than Elixir nanowebs. (If you ask me, the polywebs have too much coating. They kill the squeak but also some brightness). Cleartones are where it's at if you want the best-sounding string that will last many months without losing anything. My highest recommendation.
Better Sound/Shorter Life Than Elixir's
The obvious comparison is to Elixir's, so here we go:
I've gone back and forth from these and Elixir's for a while now. And I think I'm finally sold on the Cleartone's from here on out. Word of caution: Don't buy these if you're looking for your strings to last as long as Elixir's do. The coating is totally different. Cleartone's have a much more natural feel and acoustic sound to them that's hard to even compare to Elixir. You won't be getting Elixir's slippery shiny feel you would expect from a "coated" string. Elixir's are very bright, but tinny in my opinion. The Cleartone's have much more of a rustic acoustic sound with much better lows/mids than the Elixir's. My low E with Cleartones is night and day difference compared to Elixir's.
Oh, and for those of you who ALWAYS break the "G" string on your set of Elixir's, worry no more. I haven't broken a string since switching to Cleartone's. I play the lights on a Taylor 614ce.
