I have an Ibanez Artcore bass....and oh, my! These strings are sexy, play like a dream, and feel like silk under your fingers! Less sustain than a non-wrapped flatwound, but on my hollow-body bass, they make it sound almost identical to an upright bass. No finger noises whatsoever while moving around on the fretboard, just clean, punchy sound. These are, in my opinion, for the more gentle, subdued styles of music. I would NOT recommend these for the heavier styles of slapping and plucking associated with rock, punk/funk, or metal. But for jazz, blues, country, and (in my case) gospel, they are PERFECT! They took me a little time to get used to because of how much easier your fingers can slide on them, but that's just nitpicking. Keep them clean between sessions, wipe them down gently with a cloth before/after each use and they will last a lot longer. Have had mine on for a year, played 3-5 times a week, and have had zero issues. You are going to LOVE these strings!

LOVE 'EM
These strings are great for the wide, hollow, "semi-upright" and/or Beatles sound....the bonus is they are easy on the touch...a sheer joy to play....

Positive:
Tone is EXCELLENT - closest to upright bass I've ever heard
Tension is perfect!
Negative:
Nylon coating is not as slick as other nylons I have played but not a big issue
Nylon coating is not always consistant - thin in some places - heavy coated in other - no consistent "feel"
I play an Ibanez Artcore Hollow-Body Electric and ONLY play jazz.
