Preliminary thoughts
Allow me to preface my review with the disclaimer that I know nothing at all about guitars, their construction or how to play. This was a gift for a person who knows as little or less than I do about guitars, as well, but she wanted a guitar, so there you go.
Having said so, I am very pleased with my purchase and suspect that she will be, too. The guitar came packaged well, with no damage. Shipping was a little slow, as it went USPS Parcel Post (my choice, I'm sure). It is a beautiful instrument, sturdy with a very nice satin finish. Please note that the headstock (had to Google that term) is not the rosewood color in the stock photo, but is still a very pleasing light tan color. The guitar came already strung, and actually fairly close to being in tune. Even a complete novice like me was able to figure out how to use the included tuner to tune it.
The included accessories were a nice bonus; i.e. an extra set of strings, pick selection, strap, soft case...

Another great holiday gift!
This guitar and the accompanying sundries created such an excited stir in our house when it arrived, we agreed to open it right then and there. The guitar is beautiful and it makes a wonderful sound. Tuning is a piece of cake with multimodal tuner; unbeknownst to us, we can also use this tuner to tune our violin - an added bonus. We haven't watched the DVD yet, but even if it's mediocre we'll still love the purchase.
the best guitar value you can ever find.
Im a beginning acoustic guitar player, a drummer and bass player by trade. I did a whole lot of shopping around before i decided to buy a guitar. I wasn't going for real expensive since I'm a beginner but quality is what I was looking for. I have to say by far that this is the best deal I've seen yet!!! I'm just blown away by the sound that this little guitar packs. No ringing strings or anything. The guitar alone on other websites sells for 129.00 by itself. It is amazingly beautiful. I've never seen quality like this on a cheaper priced guitar. It has an amazing bold sound that really resonates well and the action is amazing. The strings set really low on the neck and it tunes so easy. I told my friends what I paid for the kit and they couldn't believe it. The fender clip on tuner is great and the gig bag to my surprise was absolutely awesome, definately alot better looking than the one in the picture. The pick sampler has lots of variety not mention the extra dadario...
