Thomastik strings!!!!
I had a pair of standard thomastik jazz swing on order when a friend suggested that I put some of the GB's on instead. I have a Cort Yorktown Jazzbox and the strings took the overall sound up several notches!!! Get these!!! Don't fuss about the price because they last and they will transform your sound in an excellent way!!!!

Best Out There
If you're into traditional jazz sounds, these are probably the best flatwounds out there. At first I was skeptical with the lighter 6th string, but it's perfect - takes all the boominess out of the bass when playing chord melody a la Joe Pass, and zero string noise. I use these both on my Gibson L-5ces and my Benedetto Bambino.
The strings seem to last a long time, and never lose their "woodiness." I've left them on the L5 for 6 months or longer...
Remarkable
These strings not only make my Ibanez PM35 sound beautiful, they make it easier to play. The tone of these nickel flatwounds delivers those woody, jazz tones that I hear from the best jazz boxes. And, they are so smooth to the touch. Other players picking up my guitar notice this immediately. The only strings that could potentially replace these GB112's in my book are the GB114s, but that would require an adjustment to the neck tensioner, so that'll have to wait. I recommend the 112's without hesitation. They are a great investment.
