Dean designed this beast with Rusty Cooley of Outworld, who deemed it the "Lamborghini of Seven Strings." Featuring an Alder Body with futuristic Xenocide graphic, an insanely thin neck with tall frets, an all-access neck joint with a deep cutaway, and two EMG 707 pickups for raging tone, this axe packs a punch. Plus, the low profile seven-string locking tremolo stays in tune and out of the way.

Alder Body
This guitar features an alder body. Alder is a well-known tonewood, delivering a sophisticated, clear tone with plenty of dynamics. It's a resonant wood that's suitable for any number of styles.
The body (and headstock) are decked out in futuristic "Xenocide" graphics, for some serious visual appeal, and an axe that screams "METAL."
Set Neck Construction
This model features a set maple neck, which imparts all the well-known advantages of that style: a warmer overall tone with extended low-end response, wicked sustain, and easy upper-fret access.
The 25.5-inch scale neck features an ebony fingerboard with custom inlays to match the graphics, and is set with a wide, deep cutaway for easy upper-fret access. To Cooley's spec, the neck is about as thin as it gets--"speedy" is an understatement.
EMG Active 707 Humbuckers
The 707 has been leading the pack of 7-string guitar pickups since its debut in 2001. At the time, many existing seven-string pickups sounded muddy and dull on the low B string, especially when trying to hit artificial and natural harmonics, a problem the 707 addressed. Thanks to Alnico V loaded wide-aperture coils, EMG was able to beef up that Low B tone and simultaneously provide a responsive, tight sound. Whether you're ringing out Opeth-style jazzy chords, or bashing out palm-muted rhythm patterns, these pickups articulate every note, harmonic and squeal you ask of them.
A three-way switch selects between pickups, and in the spirit of "less is more," it boasts just a single volume control. Back it off for a little nuance, or dime it for serious gain.
Grover Tuners
If you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These guitar machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.
Low-Profile Tremolo Bridge
The seven-string tremolo bridge keeps you in tune when you grab for it, and stays out of the way when you aren't using it.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

High Quality Shredders Axe (2011 Edition)
Amazon is selling the 2011 and later spec version of the USA RC7. The two changes are:
- Original Floyd Rose bridge
- Thinner Profile Upper Horn
The previous spec RC7 had a Japanese made Takeuchi TR-7 PRO. The general consensus is that the German made (by Schaller) Original Floyd Rose bridge and nut is of a higher quality and delivers better tone/sustain. Whether or not this is true (I personally never have used a TR-7 PRO), the RC7 is routed out to accommodate the slightly longer length of the TR-7 PRO if you wish to swap bridges. IMHO, the OFR bridge is an upgrade in spec though.
Overall build quality is superb. Fretwork is excellent. It's definitely a niche market instrument with it's active EMG's and ultra thin profile neck. But if you're looking for a US-made 7 string shredder. Then this is really the only game in town; other than going through Jackson's Custom Shop, a Music Man JP-7 (if you don't want a locking trem), or taking your...
